Congo drums shine in Jazz ensemble performance

An intimate setting of about 75 people created the perfect setting for the Jazz Ensemble's performance. Each piece featured an extensive demonstration of artistic ability from each member. Most pieces showcased at least one artist in a solo performance. Even the conga drums got their chance to shine.

The modern-rock band, Cage the Elephant, performed a live acoustic show in the Jaguar Student Activities Center on Feb. 15 to a near-capacity audience. Originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, the five-man band has worked its way up from relative obscurity to become one of the most well-known names on popular radio today.

About 30 minutes into director Joe Johnston's deplorably bad remake of "The Wolfman," I began to think of all the horrible, physically painful things that I've endured in my life. I began to remember an instance when I was a younger, in which I got in a verbal dispute with a neighbor kid that ended with me getting clonked over the head with a golf club.

Ten dollars was all it cost. Ten dollars to get in the door for a concert experience like no other with the Christian music industry's biggest artists. The lines of people encircled the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Ga., on Feb. 11. All were waiting for Winterjam 2010, Christian music's largest annual tour.

Daughtry comes up big on second album

It has been a while since I have been so excited for an artist's second album to be released. However, Daughtry's debut album, "Daughtry," has caused me great excitement. Daughtry's second album, "Leave This Town," has some of the same elements as his first album.
