"It gets crazy," she said of the holiday season.
Sometimes the store is open later than when the mall closes, so employees need to have a pretty open availability. Permanent positions are also available for some seasonal employees after the holidays.
"We love when (permanent positions) happen," Scanlon said.
Other stores in the Augusta Mall that are hiring include, but are not limited to, Charlotte Russe, Dick's Sporting Goods (apply online at www.dickssportinggoods.com), Starbucks Coffee (apply online at www.starbucks.com), Hollister and Barnes and Noble.
A job in the mall is not the only option available for those interested in seasonal jobs. Best Buy, located on Walton Way Extension, is also hiring seasonal help, but positions are going fast, according to Brian Culliver, customer solutions manager.
Most of Best Buy's seasonal help is already in training, Culliver said, and the store is looking for people to work from now until February. He said an employee must be excited, passionate and have great customer service. Permanent positions are also available.
"I started as Christmas help and now I am a manager," Culliver said.
So if you're looking for a little extra money, now is the time to get out there and fill out some applications. It's a great way to get your foot in the door for the many possibilities that await you.
