The holiday season is rapidly approaching this year, and many stores are in search of seasonal employees.
Do you need a little extra holiday cash? How do you know if a seasonal job is right for you?
With many seasonal jobs, positions are usually available starting in October and can last, in some cases, until February, if not later. Many times, seasonal positions can turn into permanent positions.
When looking for a seasonal job, two of the best things you can offer are a great attitude and your availability. Most jobs start at minimum wage, but the pay can vary depending on experience.

Many stores in the Augusta Mall are looking for seasonal employees at the time. Victoria Secret and Picture People are just two of many.
Rosalyn Yi, category supervisor of Augusta Mall's Victoria Secret said the store is looking for people-friendly employees that are available from November to January. Possible candidates must have a good personality, excellent customer service and also be extremely flexible. Seasonal employees would be needed just about every day, including nights and weekends, anytime from open to close. Yi said that experience in retail is a plus but is not necessary.
Applications can be picked up in the store.
"We also hire on the spot," Yi said.
For those with an eye for the camera and a love for children, Picture People is also hiring for seasonal positions available from now until mid-January. Training is available, so no experience is needed.
Melissa Scanlon, assistant manager, said the store is looking for employees who are outgoing, sales oriented and comfortable with children. An employee must also be good under pressure because with holidays coming up.
